Serendipity House Logo

Project Date: August – September 2023
Role(s): Researcher, Graphic and Visual Designer
Project Summary: I was approached by a client who and his partner are starting a vacation rental in the southern Oregon city of Ashland. There already were ideas on a concept and approach from the client. I oversaw rounding out the logo and brand of “Serendipity House” to fruition. The process was to analyze client concepts, direction, and brand ideas and to design based on these predisposed directions from the client. The project began with iterations from the client focusing on designing with the house as the main element and having the Ashland landscape accompany it in the background while creating a simplistic logo with not much detail. There were also iterations of only a logotype with some circular lines as an ornament around it for visual complexity. The solution was both a logotype and a hybrid logo to establish and visually represent the boutique vacation rental that is “Serendipity House.”
